Where a pool build goes wrong
Most of the trouble on a water build is not in the water. It is in the trades around it: a survey that put the shell a few inches off its datum, an excavation that met rock nobody planned for, concrete poured before the mechanical sets were settled, a masonry crew finishing a wall the plumber still needs to open. Each hand-off between separate contractors is a place for the drawing and the ground to disagree.
A homeowner in Driftwood or West Lake Hills calling about construction is really asking who will be accountable for all of it. On a hotel or a master planned community the question is the same, just with more trades on site.

One scope, from survey to irrigation
Aqua Builders plans and carries out the work as a single scope. It starts with land survey and layouts, then site work and excavation, then architectural and structural concrete. Hydronic supply and mechanical sets, civil systems and rain reclamation, and utility supply and connections follow, with masonry covering architectural elements, buildings and hardscape.
Fire features, water features, interactive water and lighting elements are built by the same company, along with metal work, exterior lighting design and installation, and landscape and irrigation. The company describes complete construction management services as part of that scope, which is why the pool, the walls around it and the lighting over it are planned together.
Materials sourcing is led by Scott Gerhardt, who joined in June 2021 after five years as Commercial Territory Manager for Interceramic Tile and Stone. He is a Certified Speaker for the Natural Stone Institute and a former Chair of the U.S. Green Building Council Central Texas Regional Council and USGBC Texas Chapter (2016 to 2021), so the stone, tile and coping on a Hill Country job are chosen with that background.
A tidy site is part of the work
A build site is a client's home for as long as the job runs. Tiffany G. wrote that the best part of her experience was “what must be the world's best crew,” and that they “have kept the work area outstandingly tidy.” Care of the site is not a courtesy, it is part of the construction.
When the water goes in, the firm that built it also offers full-service monthly maintenance afterward, so what was poured, plumbed and wired stays known to the people who look after it. Call (512) 722-3636 and a project manager will talk through the property and begin the proposal process.
Aqua Builders has grown into a national construction company working in site work, architectural and structural concrete, masonry and hardscapes, and complete construction management. Call (512) 722-3636.
