Water. Well Done. From Driftwood, Texas.

Pools, spas and water environments designed and built across the Hill Country.

Ebbn Milks, President & Founder

Light, fire, sound and motion.

“Form and function must work hand in hand while incorporating the elements of a complete design: light, fire, sound and motion.”

Ebbn started in the pool industry in 1998, cleaning pools for a summer job, and moved the company to Aqua Builders in 2010. Every project is treated as a piece of art work, built in balance with function and efficiency.

The Aqua Builders story
  1. Light

Hotel rooftop pool split by a stone walkway between two palms, water glittering in sun

Drawn for noon and for nine at night

Exterior lighting design and installation sits inside the construction scope, beside the water, so a rooftop pool reads as well under a hard Austin sun as it does once the palms are uplit.

  2. Fire

    Flame set against water

Fire features are built alongside the water features, interactive water and lighting elements, part of how ambient day and night moods are made rather than an add-on at the end.

  3. Sound

Dark-finish pool with copper scupper waterfalls falling from limestone walls under live oaks

Copper scuppers into a dark pool

Scuppers, rain curtains, fountains and creeks. Sound and movement are considered while the pool is still a drawing, so the water you hear from the house is a decision, not an accident.

  4. Motion

Aerial view of a circular spa pool with a centre rock fountain, loungers and red umbrellas

    Water that people play in

Splash pads, lazy rivers, waterslides, water rides and multi-level play structures. Aqua Builders is one of the few firms in the country that designs, builds and maintains them.

Do you design the pool as well as build it?

Yes, and look after it once it is full. Design, engineering coordination, construction and monthly maintenance are one team, run from one office on FM 150 in Driftwood.

From design to after completion.

“We love our pool and all its cool features! Aqua Builders was fast, professional, attentive to detail, and we are amazed with their design and the beautiful pool they built. You always can call or text from design to after completion of pool.”

Westlake cliffside

One hillside, four kinds of water.

A residence built down a limestone bluff: an upper pool and spa off the lawn, a cliff wall of hand-laid stone, and a grotto pool fed by the water falling past it.

Named job, East Austin

The Carpenter Hotel, Austin.

A vintage oasis enclosed by a grove of heritage pecan trees and terra cotta barriers in the heart of ATX. Aqua Builders worked with the local design team on an outdoor space that matched the boutique hotel while keeping the bones of the mid century modern property intact.
